

Atlético 6 – Marbella 0: Taking It Out On the Chumps
By: Al | November 11th, 2009Nice to see Atlético play against a team with a worse defense than ours. The game looked like one that was being played for the sake of taking out the anger from the derby loss of last weekend. The goals seemed easy and the team oozed of confidence, mostly due to the fact that the whole team minus Aguero forgot how to score goals, and they were finally facing a team that would grant them that ability. Plus, there was finally more of a canterano presence, and by that I mean only two on the pitch (Dominguez and Camacho). Jurado and Sinama-Pongolle made the score sheet, and Maxi Rodriguez scored four goals.
This match doesn’t represent any turning point, but it seemed more like a fun scrimmage and a chance for the team to warm up for the weekend match at Depor. Onto the next round we go, and must hope that we don’t run into Barca like we did last year. This cup could be the season’s saving grace.
