Marbella 0 – Atlético 2: It’s Still Something
By: Al | October 28th, 2009This stage of the Copa del Rey is usually boring and the favorable result is usually given to the Primera Division clubs that aren’t Real Madrid. However, this was Quique Flores’ debut match and another shot at an easy victory for a team that struggles to maintain leads against 9-men squads. To be fair to Marbella, they still played a good game and had some chances on their own (one of their players had a nice volley after a corner kick) but as you could see with Kun Aguero’s final play of the match, there was quite the difference in talent. They even play in the same division as our youth team! Oh well, the Marbella fans will enjoy a trip to the Vicente Calderon next time and we’ll just look forward to progressing into the next round of our most realistic trophy this season.

Greetings from the Valencia blog. I have created a La Liga forum (in English) on my website and everyone is free to join. My website is a Valencia CF news site, but the forum itself is for all La Liga teams, Each team has their own seperate forum. I look forward to seeing as many different fans from as many different teams as possible.
