Malaga 3 – Atlético 0. All You Get Is A Video, Jerks.
By: Al | September 2nd, 2009
A little late with the publishing of this post, but obviously I’m not thrilled with the result from Matchday 1. First and foremost, this game wasn’t even aired on Spanish television because of some broadcasting right problems, so I had to follow a gamecast and refresh an internet forum over and over to find out what was going on.
The game in a nutshell… usual back and forth football match, Baha scored an awesome bicycle kick, Atleti had some okay chances of their own, Malaga got lucky from corner kicks, our coach was sent off for yelling and hitting a bench, and Kun Aguero remained our only true source of danger in the entire match. With a defense like this, we’re going to have an on-and-off season once again with nothing to complement our dangerous offense. There really was no point in seeing this match anyway because it’s one that I saw many, many times the past season.
We host Racing the next matchday in two weeks, and visit Barcelona the weekend after. Oh dear.
Here’s the video:
Malaga 3 – Atlético Madrid 0
1-0 Baha
2-0 Manu
3-0 Xavi Torres

What do you think of this? Personally, I rate Neil as a much better defender than Heitinga (being a fellow Aussie having no impact on my objectivity might I add)

Free transfer in January? I’d love to have him. We have limited options in the right back position anyway (Perea and Ujfalusi) so bring him. I don’t see why he’s making a fuss about the language barrier though. Heitinga got around just fine with English, and Ujfalusi with effin Italian.

Atleti needs a organising midfielder who’s a very good passer like Biglia(Anderlecht) or Gargano(Napoli), Cleber and Raul Garcia aren’t good enough.
As for losing Heitinga… well that’s like losing a rotten tooth, it’s always ugly and painful but it’s always better.Posted from

Gargano sucks, man. He can’t organize shit.
If Atleti wants a good one, they should swoop for Gaetano D’Agostino, who has been ignored by all the big clubs for no reason. Real was briefly interested in him before grabbing Xabi Alonso.

Raul Garcia, being from Pamplona, is the man.
